What is the Winning Track?

In attempts to make our discipleship making (Winning Track) process clearer, I came up with the following statements:

Connect people to God in our Sunday Encounters
Connect to one another in our Winning Groups
Grow in the knowledge of God's Word through our manuals
Develop leaders

Hopefully, this will make it easier to understand our process and explain to others.

New iPhone Stuff

This is my first post on my iphone using the new iPhone 2.0 software update. No, I didn't get the new iPhone. I plan to wait until it's confirmed that the 3G network is active in the Fort. However, most of the features I want such as: mobileMe (instant updates) and apps, I can get by upgrading my current phone. This new TypePad app that I'm using now, allows me to post blog text and pictures right from my iPhone.

Taking a little break

You may have wondered where I've been lately on my blog. This summer has been busy with 3 kids in golf. I usually take it light during the summer; spending time with the family and helping the kids with their golf (although I haven't played 1 round of golf myself) . I'm taking a bit of a break from blogging and twittering.
Just wanted to update you; I'll be back. Keep checking in.
We serve a good God who is merciful, faithful, and full of grace. Fellowship with Him!

BDI

Al shot 72-75 for a two round total of 147. A dude shot a 65 today and ran away with it. He'll be in college next year and has tremendous potential.

Orlando Golf Trip

I'm here with Al at the Bill Dickey Invitational golf tournament in Orlando. It's an invitation only tournament that features some of the best minority golfers in the United States. The players room together, have curfews, wake up calls, and spend time together. Tiger Woods niece, Cheyenne is in the field.
As sort of an ice breaker, they had the kids fill out questionnaires/profiles about themselves. Then they had the kids stand up and read each other's profile. One of the girls read a profile of another female golfer who's last name is Payton. One of the questions is, "who is your hero?" She wrote, "My uncle, Walter".
