As I was praying today I thought about an experience I had yesterday. As I was driving, I was about to move into another lane when somebody that I didn't see was on my blind side. I almost ran right into that car, but I swerved back into my lane and avoided the accident.
As I was praying today, I thought about my prayer life. I know that what saved me from having an accident in that situation, was God's protection. In my prayer time that morning, I pleaded the blood of Jesus over myself and my family and over all our possessions.
Don't become so busy that you don't make time to pray. I truly believe that it was my prayer life, the time I spend with God and the relationship that I have with Him, that kept me safe on the road yesterday. Spending a peaceful time in prayer this morning, I thought about how prayer saves time. Had I been in an accident, I could have been in the hospital or spending my time making arrangements to have my car fixed. But instead, because of God's protection, praise God I don't have to do any of that. I can spend my time today serving God, being fruitful, and sharing this testimony with you!
wow Pastor. That was simple but deep all at the same time. It funny how God will remind you of the moment you prayed after an event like what you had, to let you know He herd you. That happen to me about man almost 10 yers. ago. I wrapped my car around a tree heading to work, but because of some prayer time about a month earlier. Just of the blue, Sec and I ( dating at the time) were just prompted to pray really strong - actually she was the one prompted - so we did, and go an ok about it. Then the car thing happened. All I ended up with was a puffy lip a slight soar neck. Everything around my side of the car was totaled. The seatbelt was even pulled to its limit, but never came out the door. And good thing cause the way my seat was tilted back, would have sent me through the rear windshield about 15 feet into a ditch. God loves us enough to get us out of our own mistakes. Thanx for the words of widsom Pastor.

Thanks for sharing that PA. It has encouraged me to be sure to take that time in prayer and in my confessions.

YES , I HEAR YOU LOUD AND CLEAR!!!
I KNOW FOR ME,WHEN IN CHURCH,HOW YOU ALWAYS ENCOURAGE US TO STAY IN THE WORD.READ YOUR BIBLE,PRAY.
I WILL BE THE FIRST TO ADMIT IT, I WOULD DO IT FOR ABOUT A WEEK, I WOULD PRAY,BUT I WOULD NOT READ MY BIBLE LIKE I SHOULD.I WANTED TO READ IT, BUT I DID'T WANT TO READ IT OUT OF GUILT.(YOU FEEL ME?)LOL!! I WOULD ASK GOD TO PUT THE DESIRE IN ME TO WANT TO,HE DID!THANK YOU LORD!! I WOULD BE IN MY SECRET PLACE,AND JUST TO BE ABLE TO COME TO GOD AND TALK TO HIM ANYTIME,ANYWHERE,HE WONT PUT YOU ON HOLD. HE WONT TELL YOU IT'S TO EARLY OR TO LATE. AND I GET MAD AT MYSELF (I USE TO) WHEN I THINK OF HOW I DID'NT TAKE ADVANTAGE OF READING THE WORD, PRAYING ALL THAT GOOD STUFF!!!!!
SOMETIMES I JUST SIT AND SHAKE MY HEAD. HOW CAN YOU NOT WANT TO SPEND TIME IN THE WORD AND PRAYER,WHEN YOU CAN GO TO HIM FOR ANYTHING,HE HAS EVERYTHING WE NEED.CAN HANDLE EVERYTHING,BIG OR SMALL.WHEN HIS ONLY SON DIED FOR US HOW DARE I!!!! I GET SO EXCITED NOW, I LOOK FOWARD TO IT. SPENDING TIME WITH MY DADDY!! FOR ME A MAKES A DIFFERENCE IN HOW MY DAY GOES(SMILE) AMEN!!!!!! BE BLESSED!!!!
