Do we have authority over the hurricanes?

Mark 4:37 And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling. 38 But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?” 39   Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.
Matt. 16:19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
I take the scripture at face value re: Jesus speaking to the storm. Storms, hurricanes, and tornados, etc. have potential to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10.10).  I relate it to satan, because he uses those things to take people out and destroy property. I speak to that stuff and command it to dissolve in Jesus name. I see hurricanes in "whatever" according to Mt 16.19. This puts me on scriptural ground to bind them.

Our ultimate reward as believers (including ministers) is to hear God say, "well done" (Matthew 25:23). However, on earth: my reward as a Pastor/Minister is when something good happens to one of my members or partners. That gives me a buzz!

How to Biblically resolve a conflict

Matt. 18:15   “Moreover if your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have gained your brother.

If you think that someone has sinned against you, the first step is to go to them directly. When you go to other people and not to the person who has offended you, you compound the situation and sowing bad seed that will reap a bad harvest.
By doing what the scripture says and privately tell your brother his fault, you nip the situation in the bud and there is a good possibility that it will end amicably. When you get hurt and go to other people with someone else's fault, you cause the people to whom you go to, to hear negative things about the person who offended you. And as a result, that person could look bad in their eyes.
Do what the scripture says: ".... go and tell him his fault between you and him alone..." The Word works!

Discover what you do best. What are you good at? What's your passion? What drives you? Focus on your strengths. Hone your skills. Be the best at what you do best. Read books, watch DVDs, listen to CDs to learn more, get more information on your gifting. Learn so you can improve. By doing this, you are being a good steward of the gifts, talents, and abilities that God put on the inside of you.
